glamping options

At Smith Hall Meadow we have two pitches: Kestrel pitch and Buzzard pitch.  Each pitch has two tents and can accommodate up to 8 (+1) people.   Bookings are flexible, if you have a small group  (4+ 1) you can hire just one of them and the other will remain 'resting', or for a bigger group (8+1) you can hire both for that fun family and friends glamping experience..  You will not share your pitch with anyone you do not know.  As tents are separate units we ask that there is at least one person over the age of 18 in each tent.  There is one bathroom per pitch, but as only one family or group of friends can rent a pitch at a time, so you will never be sharing a bathroom with people that you do not know. 

 

Pitch one: Kestrel.  This pitch houses Kestrel Yurt and Hobby Tent. Kestrel Yurt is a 5 meter yurt standing on a raised decking area.  Hobby tent is a 6 meter bell tent adjacent to the yurt.  The cost of the pitch varies depending on whether one or both units are booked.  The pitch has it's own private bathroom, only used by those accommodated on Kestrel pitch. 

 

Pitch two: Buzzard.  This pitch houses Buzzard tent and Kite tent.  Buzzard tent is a 6 x 4 meter Emperor bell tent and Kite tent is a 6 meter Bell tent.  They are positioned the other side of the bathrooms pod from Kestrel Pitch,  allowing that little bit if privacy.  The cost of the pitch varies depending on whether one or both units are booked.  The pitch has it's own private bathroom, only used by those accommodated on Buzzard pitch. 

 

 We insist on a high standard of accommodation and whilst we can not guarantee the weather, we can ensure that the tents are comfortable ad cosy, combining the best of camping with the comfort of a self-catering accommodation.   A luxury experience that puts the 'glam'  in to glamping! The tents are named after just some of the amazing wildlife you can see in the area.
